Oi! from South East London,
Just Vivi chiming in this month while Ben took the weekend off from his busy schedule of paper. I spent the wee hours of Saturday DJing a friendβs wedding, so maybe that guided my choice to make this month as wonky as possible. Lots of weird noises, metal falling into itself, the secret rooms of the mind palace, distortion and high BPM. Some usual ramblings after the drop, but first β hereβs the show:
01. Leif β Myrtus
02. Forest Drive West β Annoko
03. Hysteria Temple Foundation β Carpathian Ritual (ft. Alina Pash)
04. gyrofield β Goat With The Red Tooth
05. Sputnik One β Blaze
06. ROOO β So Cold (Diessa Remix)
07. Dual Monitor β Step Pattern (A.Fruit Remix)
08. Sintaro β Looking For Her Denim (Simkin Remix)
09. Hoavi β Triad of Becoming
10. YS β Moth
11. Lee Gamble β 7 Million
12. Heavee β Make It Work
13. ZULI β Where Do You Go
14. Aitch β Chrono
15. Rian Treanor & Ocen James β Tiyo Ki
16. Upsammy & Valentina Magaletti β Collide
17. Deee-Lite β Call Me (Method One Remix)
You can hear the show on our Mixcloud and Soundcloud. Links to tracks available on Bandcamp can be found on our Buy Music Club.
We will be broadcasting live again on Voices Radio next month on Sunday 17th May 2026 at 20:00 UK time.
V: Wanted to do a mix like this for a while and have often been derailed by The Brain Virus and varying studying deadlines (of which Iβm still in the fugue state of) β I actually recorded a mix over a year ago for a web series that never came out that looked quite similar to this, so glad to feature a few of the artists Iβd intended to then. I love the new gyrofield and have been working her insanely freeform stepping into anything I can for a while. This tune appeared sneakily in her absolutely game-changing Resident Advisor mix from a while ago, a piece of work that stands truly on its own legs alongside some of the best Iβve heard. Iβve recommended before, I will recommend again.
As I said on air, I hit the last Impulse Control to catch Xen Chron, likely the only mutant club producer who is also a current member of SEIGE. Worth every penny, and after he swung Sputnik Oneβs βBlazeβ over the top of something completely unidentifiable Iβve had it fixated in my head. Please experience pre-internet culture:
Also stated on air but worth repeating, I went on a recent All Centre spending spree catching up on some stuff I hadnβt had time to listen to yet! Grabbed that Sintaro EP with label co-founder Simkin on the remix β Jamie used to produce our first few shows on Balamii way back when and was super behind what we were doing, Iβve been picking up ACβs stuff ever since. So much to delve into but my newest purchases were the new SCUD, Tooth Rust, and Rizio.
Finally, big recommend to our Voices resident pals Texture Mag! Now designed by former RS event guest and sticker maniac Tommy Brentnall. I have a strong opinion to state: more zines should come with a CD of low-resolution Soundcloud obscurities from 2010. I love a magazine both deeply snarky of DJ culture and warmly loving towards the possibilities of music (aka correct opinion).

As he isnβt here and canβt complain or accuse me of sponcon (insert your Geese/Oklou/etc. joke here), I also endorse Benβs new bootleg of a Scritti Politti zine on how to make a record in 1980. Turns out, everything was cheaper and moderately easier to do then? Who knew. Grab his brief presentation on why to make print media in the first place along with it and elevate your zine-owning status. MORE PAPER. Just Ben next month, tap in then. Bye!
